In London, she studied Music and Composition at Goldsmiths College and completed the prestigious Jazz Postgraduate course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. "Vocally, she has much of the pure-toned, wide-ranging, faintly inscrutable serenity of Norma Winstone, and a little of Flora Purim's cool athleticism too." John Fordham. Influenced by African and Latin American music combined with the sound of contemporary New York jazz, Partikel produce a personal, committed and original take on the saxophone trio. They will be playing a selection of Latin and Jazz standards from the Bebop era and beyond. Collectively the band has performed with the likes of Eric Clapton, Tom Jones, Antonio Forcione, Soweto Kinch, Liane Carrol, Dennis Rollins, Paloma Faith, Omar, Maceo Parker plus many others. The group will be performing a selection of original material from their album plus new tunes! Expect a diverse set of hard bop and emotive jazz mixed with latin, groove and contemporary elements!
