With certain musicians in mind when written, the compositions take on a very specific style, highly influenced by the work of the Bobo Stensson Trio and the Joe Lovano Trio. FREE ADMISSION	12 9:00pm REMI HARRIS TRIO Remi Harris – guitar Ben Salmon - rhythm guitar Mike Green - double bass The Remi Harris Trio are a Young Contemporary Gypsy Jazz Trio, playing an exciting selection of Jazz, Swing and Bebop Standards, OriginalCompositions and Popular Melodies. For every waking hour while recording the album, Louise was consumed by the project. Combined with heartfelt production of Arno Guveau, the songs exert an intimate pull on the senses and resonate with an elemental force. Guveau's cinematic arrangements accentuate the dark romantic heart of Latham's writing. Guveau, who has worked with Manfred Mann and former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Weston, built a studio in his Dutch flat specifically to record Reclaimed creating "an atmosphere with lamps and rugs, an artistic bohemian feel". The album sets Louise up as a new voice in the British folk tradition, while drawing influence from her heroes. When she talks about touchstones, she mentions the simplicity and economy of Tracy Chapman's compositions, the big quiet of Tori Amos's Boys For Pele album, and the ambitious scope of Sarah McLachlan's Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. ADMISSION: £7.00 / £6.00	19 9:00pm ANDREW FAWCETT / DAVIDE LOGIRI QUARTET Andrew Fawcett - saxophone Davide Logiri - piano Ashley John Long - bass Phill Redfox O'Sullivan - Drums Pianist Davide Logiri is visiting us from Italy. At the age of 7 he entered the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan playing the Piano and Cello. His attraction for jazz led him to study with Diego Baiardi and Sante Palumbo and in 1995 he was "best pianist" at the Berklee Clinics in Perugia. He again joins Andrew Fawcett with whom he recorded the cd 'The Chase'. Gifted singer-songwriter Louise Latham's evocative debut album Reclaimed will be performed at Cafe Jazz. For every waking hour while recording the album, Louise was consumed by the project. Combined with heartfelt production of Arno Guveau, the songs exert an intimate pull on the senses and resonate with an elemental force.
